FAQ

Built for curiosity, not sensationalism.

Built for curiosity, not sensationalism.

Is Stay Strange a paranormal app?

Stay Strange is an observation platform. It gives people a careful way to document unusual experiences without asking them to adopt a belief, defend an explanation, or turn a personal moment into a spectacle.

Will my entries be private?

Yes. Private documentation is the starting point. As the product opens, sharing will be intentional and controlled, so people can contribute to the Observatory without losing ownership of sensitive experiences.

What can I document?

Anything that feels difficult to place: synchronicities, déjà vu, repeating numbers, dreams, missing time, sky events, glitches, encounters, or patterns that seem meaningful enough to preserve before memory edits them.

When is it launching?

Stay Strange is currently entering private beta. Early testers will help shape the experience before the platform opens to a wider audience.

Founder

Built by curiosity.

Built by curiosity.

Stay Strange was created by Ryan Sung to build a home for the moments people rarely have anywhere else to document.

Instead of asking users what to believe, Stay Strange begins with a simpler question: “What happened?”

THE STORY BEHIND STAY STRANGE

The Story Behind Stay Strange

The Story Behind Stay Strange

The Story Behind Stay Strange

Stay Strange began with a simple realization: people experience strange, meaningful, and difficult-to-explain moments every day, but rarely have a place to document them.

A repeating number.

A vivid dream.

An unexpected coincidence.

A moment of déjà vu.

A pattern that seems insignificant to everyone else, but impossible for you to ignore.

These experiences are often dismissed, forgotten, or kept private—not because they are meaningless, but because we lack a shared language and a trusted place to explore them.

Stay Strange was created to become that place.

It is not here to tell people what to believe.

It begins with a simpler question:

“What happened?”

“What happened?”

By allowing people to record, organize, and compare their experiences, Stay Strange helps reveal connections that would otherwise remain invisible.

Some patterns may lead somewhere.

Others may simply be coincidence.

The purpose is not to force an answer, but to preserve the experience, remain curious, and see what emerges.

Stay Strange is being built by Ryan Sung as a living, searchable archive of the unexplained—and a home for anyone who has ever noticed something strange and wondered whether they were the only one.

Someone noticed something strange.

Someone noticed something strange.

Someone noticed something strange.

I’d like to make one final improvement to the Founder section.

Please DO NOT add a headshot or profile photo inside the Founder card.

The site should remain product-first rather than personality-first.

Instead, make the ending of the story feel more personal and authentic by adding a subtle editorial signature.

At the very end of “The Story Behind Stay Strange” section, add:

────────────────────────

— Ryan Sung

Founder, Stay Strange

────────────────────────

Design requirements:

• Place it after the final sentence:

“Every observation begins the same way:

Someone noticed something strange.”

• Add generous whitespace above the signature so it feels like the natural conclusion of an essay.

• Make the signature understated and elegant.

• Left-align it with the body text.

• Use the same typography system as the rest of the site.

• “Ryan Sung” should be slightly more prominent than “Founder, Stay Strange.”

• Keep the styling minimal—no boxes, borders, or decorative elements.

• It should feel like the signature at the end of a thoughtfully written editorial rather than a startup founder bio.

If appropriate, add a very subtle horizontal divider or extra whitespace immediately before the signature to separate it from the body text.

Do NOT add:

- A profile photo

- Social media links

- Biography text

- Credentials

- Company logos

- Contact information

The goal is for visitors to finish reading the story, pause for a moment, and then quietly see who wrote it.

The signature should feel timeless, restrained, and premium, matching the Apple/A24/editorial aesthetic of the rest of the website.
